Top Places to Have a Romantic Day in New York for Travellers

Whether you are traveling alone or with your soulmate, we have prepared a small travel guide to New York for you. Below, you can find our top romantic places for dating in NYC that will be interesting for every guest of the city.

Central Park

Start your NYC tour with a scenic walk in Central Park. It is located at 59th to 110th Streets and is free to enter. The park is not only a picturesque and romantic place. It is also situated close to many famous attractions (say, Guggenheim, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the American Museum of Natural History). People come here to rest, do sports, have picnics, and so on. You can plan a visit to the park as a particular tourist activity because there many things to do and to see. With more than 30 bridges, 45+ fountains, and numerous artwork pieces, you will for sure find many romantic spots to take photos and enjoy the time.

As a tourist, you should definitely visit the Conservatory Garden. It is a territory of greenery and peace arranged in different botanical styles (English, French, and Italian).

Allocate at least half a day or the whole day, because you are very likely to need more than 2 hours to fully enjoy the park.

Metropolitan Museum of Art

Located at 1000 Fifth Avenue, the Metropolitan Museum of Art is also a must-visit, because you will get in touch with the masterpieces from all over the world at once. We highly recommend checking the collection of Ancient Egypt, Greek, Roman, and Islamic art. Plan at least 4 hours for your visit and check the collection online before you go. This will help you to understand what you want to see most and spend your time with max pleasure. Without planning, you can miss something important for you. The museum has a too big collection to see everything in a day.

Empire State Building

Many tourists begin their trip around New York with Empire State Building, because this is a nice way to look at the city from incredible heights (1,050 feet) and then go and check it yourself on foot. Or you can go at the end of the day to finish your day in a romantic environment with evening lights. If you like watching cities from the top, try a helicopter tour. It will give you even more emotions and a full impression of the city. Allocate at least 3 hours and be ready to stand in a queue, but the views are worth it.

Manhattan Architecture Yacht Cruise

If you want to enjoy the view of the architecture but don’t want to spend time in crowds, you can settle on a yacht cruise. Standing or sitting on the deck, you will sip a glass of wine, look at the beautiful sites and learn about New York. The price is about $106 per person.

Apollo Theater

A well-known music hall in the US, Apollo Theatre is a must-visit. It is located at 253 West 125th St. It opened in 1914 and since then has helped many brilliant artists grow. We recommend you visit the Amateur night, as this is exactly the time when new stars can shine on the stage. Tickets for live music are sold from 10 am to 5 pm every day.

Broadway

If you go to Broadway for the first time, visit “The Great White Way”. This play shows the very heart of American theatre culture. Going to a broadway show is a must for every New York guest. You can choose a show for any taste and age. There are family-friendly plays and shows only for adults. Check the agenda and head for Mid-40s, Between Sixth and Eighth Avenues.

Bronx Zoo

Located at 2300 Southern Boulevard, Bronx Zoo is a great place for all animal lovers. It is the biggest animal park in the US and definitely the place where you can enjoy nature and relaxation. Take the “total experience” tickets and visit the gorilla forest, children’s zoo, butterfly garden, bug carousel, and a lot more.

Metropolitan Opera House

Even if you don’t like opera, you will still like to visit the area and take a look at the architecture. The interior is stunning and the sound quality is superb. Not in vain the tickets are so expensive. Treat yourself to a performance in this famous opera house at Lincoln Center Plaza.
